Hotel room renovations at “The River” are continuing. We are currently training young men in various areas of construction, particularity in the refurbishing the Hotel Rooms. These young men are learning: organization skills, furniture restoration, tiling and painting and carpentry and cabinet making. The main goal for this training is to ad value to the trainees by increasing their trade skills and thus increasing their employment opportunities. The Training also involves mentoring in many areas of life, from learning to turn up to work on time and how to put in a full day’s work to character traits such as working as a team, responsibility and accountability.
Girls are also making all the bedding covers, curtains and upholstering the furniture.
