Each and every Saturday our team in Chiang Mai run a fantastic Kids Club program for up to 100 kids from the surrounding communities. Last Saturday, we were able to welcome so many new children who had never come before and they LOVED IT!
Our team never fail to think of creative new ideas for games and activities, and last week was no exception…we had a Kids Masterchef! Eight teams of kids had 20mins to cook and present a beautiful fishy dish. Everyone got so into it, with creations including fried chicken, smiley faced omelettes and an apple and chip salad. But the clear winner was the group who boiled eggs that looked like chickens!
We love that the children have so much fun at Kids Club, but that is not all. They also get the opportunity to learn about Jesus through fun and lively demonstrations, as well as learn practical life skills, personal hygiene, the English language and simple things that we take for granted, like how to swim!
Ultimately, The River Kids Club is a place where the children are always loved and cared for, as they are surrounded by our well-trained and passionate Kids Leaders. At the River, we seek to train up and develop the next generation. That is why our Kids Club Program is so important and an integral part of what we do. We are seeing incredible growth in our Kids Ministries and every week, new children are coming along! We want to continue with this momentum…and you can be a part of this.
