“In April 2010 Erik Klar found himself in a large political demonstration in Bangkok. 22 people had died in the demonstration the night before, yet thousands of people were still there to demonstrate, passionate about their cause. God began to talk to Erik at that time about a new generation that would rise up, passionate about THE CAUSE.
This July, the River launched into a faith venture to gather young church leaders from across South East Asia to train in how to reach our communities for Christ and how to network together to see a great harvest brought in.
Over the 12 days of the Bootcamp training, 139 registered delegates travelled in from 12 nations. The mornings involved training on how to connect with and reach the community. The afternoons were then on the streets connecting with people and applying the things they had learnt.
Many of these people were invited and 90 people (outside of our group) came to our party events.
In the time since Bootcamp, we have had daily reports from leaders in these other countries of the impact the Bootcamp is having in their lives and their churches. We are also seeing a wonderful connecting and sharing of resources between churches of the various nations. The connections and sharing has been way beyond expectation.
As Bootcamp came to a close, leaders of each nation represented met together and reviewed the 12 days that had just been. All agreed it had been very beneficial and that we should do it again next year, exposing more of their people to this teaching and highly practical training.”
